Paris is a popular destination for tourists all year long, with plenty of attractions to offer. Some of its most memorable landmarks include the Eiffel Tower or the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris, and chances are you already have many pictures of them if you’ve already visited the French capital. However, your photos are absolutely nothing like the ones captured by this talented pair of Russian photographers.

Vadim Mahora and Vitali Raskalovym have visited various landmarks around the world, not just Paris, taking pictures of various sights from impossible and often illegal angles.

Mahora and Raskalovym posted these photos on their website called On the Roofs, along with detailed stories for each adventure. For example, to shoot the Great Pyramid of Giza, the two daredevils waited for four hours to climb on top of one of the other pyramids (see the top image). The punishment for such a feat is one to three years in jail, they say.

Below, you can see a selection of breath-taking images showing the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Shanghai Tower, and the Paris landmarks mentioned above. More similarly impressive images are available on their website.
