The Surface 3 costs just $499, making it significantly cheaper than the Surface Pro 3. The tablet is available starting today in stores in various markets including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.

Buyers residing in Canada, the U.S. and Puerto Rico can get up to $150 towards the new Surface 3 as long as they’re ready to trade in a Surface RT or Surface 2 model that’s in working condition.

Furthermore, Microsoft announced various new accessories for the device, including the Surface 3 Type Cover, Surface Pen, Surface 3 Docking Station and Surface 3 Screen Protector.

Finally, starting on May 7th, the Surface 3 will reach even more European markets including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
