Sprint blames major network outage on ‘accidental dual fibercut’

Sprint (S) users across the United States were hit with a major voice and data network outage on Monday that has affected major markets such as San Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis and others. Sprint has officially confirmed the outage to 9to5Mac and says that the outage occurred on Monday morning when an “accidental dual fibercut” took out service in several markets. The company says that its engineers are “working aggressively to resolve this issue and we hope to have service restored soon.”
