Samsung went all in on wearables at Mobile World Congress this year, introducing three new models in the Gear lineup: the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. The Gear Fit was the biggest departure of the bunch, and subsequently the most discussed, but the horizontal orientation of its display left us scratching our heads. Samsung has taken the criticism in stride and released an update which allows users to flip the orientation of the screen to make viewing and swiping more natural on the wrist. It may not be a perfect solution, considering the size of the narrow display, but it’s important that consumers have the option to flip the orientation. The Gear Fit launches on April 11th, alongside the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone.
