Samsung is doubling down on its edgy smartphones. SamMobile’s sources have confirmed earlier reports that Samsung plans to release a special version of the Galaxy S6 that will feature not one, but two displays on the side of the device similar to what we first saw this past fall with the Galaxy Note Edge.

In addition to confirming the device’s existence, SamMobile also delivers some more details about what it will feature.

“The S6 Edge will run the same panel-based system that the Korean giant designed for the Galaxy Note Edge,” SamMobile writes. “So, it will have all the panels from the Note Edge including Yahoo! Finance, news and sport panels, briefing panel, pedometer panel (powered by S Health), favourite apps and contacts panels, and more will be downloadable from Samsung’s app store. Furthermore, it will also sport features like Night Clock and Express Me.”

We first started hearing rumors about a Galaxy S6 Edge late last year when IHD Technology senior analyst Jerry Kang first reported that Samsung’s display business was preparing to make a display that was capable of wrapping around both sides of the device.
