The Android-powered Ouya gaming console has finally made its way to various U.S. retailers. The $99 system appears to be off to a good start, selling out within hours at Amazon. It is unclear at this time if the stock-out is a result of limited supply or high demand. The Ouya is equipped with a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, a USB port, a microUSB port, a special wireless controller and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The company raised nearly $8.6 million from 63,416 backers on crowd-funding website Kickstarter last summer. High demand led to unexpected delays, unfortunately, and the console didn’t begin shipping to backers until this past March. The Ouya is available now at a major retailers in the U.S., including Best Buy, GameStop and Target.
