Nokia shuts down two China-based offices as troubles persist

Updated Dec 19th, 2018 8:29PM EST

Being a struggling company means layoffs and office closures, and Nokia is sadly no exception. The Wall Street Journal reports that Nokia is shutting down two of its regional sales offices in China as part of broader reorganization efforts aimed at keeping the company afloat while it scrambles to regain market share lost to the iPhone and Android devices. WSJ says that Nokia didn’t immediately disclose how many workers would be let go as a result of its reorganization efforts in China.
