Nintendo’s E3 2015 plans have been revealed – here’s everything you need to know

Nintendo E3 2015 Plans

After teasing us with a cryptic tweet earlier this week, Nintendo revealed its E3 2015 plans on Wednesday, from when we can watch the next Digital Event to how fans outside of E3 can participate in the festivities.

Once again, Nintendo has decided to forego a live press conference in favor of a pre-recorded Digital Event, in which studios executives and game developers will discuss the upcoming slate of games for the Wii U and 3DS. We might even get our first glimpse at the mobile game Nintendo is planning to launch before the end of the year.

Once the event is over, the Nintendo Treehouse will take over with a live stream throughout the rest of E3, featuring new games, developer interviews and more.

If, like millions of others, you are unable to attend E3, don’t fret — Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about you. On May 30th, Nintendo is resurrecting the Nintendo World Championships at select Best Buy locations all across the country. Winners from these regional events will have the chance to compete in the finals at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on June 14th.

Certain Best Buy locations will also be holding letting gamers get their hands on Mario Maker from 4-9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 17th, and noon-5 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 20th.

Nintendo has already confirmed that the NX next-gen console won’t be ready in time for this year’s E3, but it looks like it’s going to be a busy week for the company regardless. Watch the patently silly announcement video below:
