Is it really possible to have too much of a good thing? One lucky job seeker from Europe is about to find out as Netflix has announced it is looking for a new “tagger” in the UK and Ireland, another facet of the company’s continued expansion throughout Europe. Taggers are given the envious task of watching dozens of movies and TV shows on Netflix and then describing everything they watch using objective tags. This is the first stage of the Netflix recommendation system, combining with a complex algorithm to ensure your profile is unique and aligns with your viewing habits.

There are a few other responsibilities for a tagger, including “acting as a UK/IE cultural consultant, highlighting UK/IE cultural specificities and taste preferences,” but the hours are flexible and you can work from home. The pros definitely appear to outweigh the cons. As for qualifications, Netflix is ideally looking for someone who has had experience directing, writing or working in the industry in some fashion, but the job description mentions that critics would also be well suited for the job.

The UK and Ireland position is the only one available at the moment, so anyone outside of those regions, don’t quit your day job just yet. If you do live in the UK or Ireland, but the job description didn’t quite sell you on the position, Netflix has put together a short video detailing the role of a tagger. Check it out below.
