MetroPCS launches nationwide coverage, LTE in L.A. and Philadelphia

November 4th, 2010 at 7:04 AM

MetroPCS, America’s fifth largest wireless provider, today announced that it is expanding its unlimited wireless service coverage. Via a press release, the company writes: “MetroPCS Communications, Inc. announced its subscribers will be able to use their MetroPCS service in areas covering more than 90% of the U.S. population with the introduction of its Metro USA nationwide service that launches today. MetroPCS customers can begin to enjoy unlimited talk, text and Web services wherever they go in the nation on their existing MetroPCS service plan.” The company’s Wireless for All plans range from $40 to $60.

On the heels of that announcement, MetroPCS also noted that Los Angeles, CA and Philadelphia, PA are covered by the company’s next-generation LTE network. “As the only no annual contract, pay-in-advance service provider offering 4G LTE services, we are building on the successful commercial launches of 4G LTE service in Las Vegas, Dallas/Fort Worth and Detroit with the launches of our 4G LTE service in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. With a compelling handset line-up and a superior network, we deliver unmatched value with the flexibility, predictability and affordability that consumers demand.,” said Roger D. Linquist, Metro’s chairman, president and CEO.

Looks like the start of a pretty good day for the gang over at MetroPCS.
