Leak: This is the phone LG will launch to combat the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6

LG G4 Specs

LG was smart to not debut its next-generation flagship smartphone during this month’s Mobile World Congress trade show. It’s not that the phone is a dud, per se, but rather that Samsung and HTC definitely stole the show with their respective new flagship phones, the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. These hot new Android phones took center stage in Barcelona, but now that the buzz is dying down it looks like LG is getting ready to pull back the curtain on its latest and greatest Android phone.

Unfortunately for LG, it looks like a huge new leak just beat it to the punch.

DON’T MISS: 5 key ways the Apple Watch crushes Android rivals

French gadget site Nowhereelse has a good track record when it comes to device leaks, and the blog has now set its sights on the next-generation LG G4 smartphone. On Wednesday, the site published purported images and specs for the G4, and our own sources suggest most or even all of the leaked information is accurate.

Here are a couple of those images:

As you can see, the G4 looks very similar to last year’s flagship LG G3 model, but there are some clear differences. The most obvious among them is the device’s slight curve, placing it somewhere in between a standard flat smartphone and a curved device like the LG G Flex 2.

As far as specs are concerned, the report suggests that LG’s new G4 will feature a 2K display that measures between 5.3 and 5.7 inches diagonally, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a rear camera resolution of either 16 megapixels or 20.7 megapixels.

LG is expected to announce the new G4 smartphone in the near future.
