Video reveals what Apple’s iPhone 7 headphones may look like

iPhone 7 Headphones

It’s almost a given that the iPhone 7 will ship without a 3.5mm headphone jack, but what still remains unclear is what type of headphones Apple plans to ship with each device. While the safe bet is to assume that Apple will ship a pair of Lightning headphones with every new iPhone, we have seem some speculation that Apple may flip the script and ship a pair of wireless headphone with each new device. To this point, it’s worth mentioning that Apple has shown an interest in securing a trademark for the name “AirPods.”

My guess is that if a wireless headphone solution is available, iPhone 7 users will have to pay a little bit extra for it. Removing the 3.5mm headphone jack is already a bold enough decision without additionally asking users to now delve into the world of wireless. That said, a new video recently surfaced which purports to show the Lightning headphones Apple may very well ship with its next-gen iPhone.

Originally posted by the YouTube account EverythingApplePro, the Lightning based headphones look exactly like the headphones that ship with all current iPhones, save of course for the lightning connector at the end.

There’s no way of knowing if the video is legit or not as we could very well be looking at some cheap imitation headphones out of China. Nonetheless, if Apple does in fact opt to ship Lightning headphones with every new iPhone 7, it stands to reason that it will look a little bit like this.

In fact, the headphones depicted in the video above look similar to a previous iPhone 7 headphones leak that we saw earlier in the month.

On another note, it’s also been rumored that Apple will ship a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter for free with every iPhone 7 purchase. If this rumor pans out, it would be a welcome gesture from Apple given that they’re abandoning a universally used port with something proprietary. And as we highlighted earlier in the week, providing an adapter on the house is just smart business, especially in light of shrinking iPhone sales.

Lastly, a few days ago we saw a video and photos which claim to show what this rumored Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is going to look like.
