Apple is widely expected to unveil two iPhone 6 models this year, including a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and an even bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 phablet, although they might not release at the same time. Taiwanese publication Apple Daily has learned that the bigger iPhone 6 model will be called iPhone 6L, with “L” presumably standing for “large.” In addition to mentioning the iPhone’s name, the publication has also shared details about the phablet’s battery.

FROM EARLIER: Here’s one way Apple could make up for the iPhone 6’s reportedly skimpy battery

Last year, Apple released two different iPhone models for the first time in its history. The high-end 2013 iPhone was called the iPhone 5s while the colored, plastic, cheaper 2013 iPhone was called iPhone 5c. Similarly, later this year, the company will likely unveil two iPhone 6 models with distinct names to avoid any confusion.

Apple Daily has posted several images showing purported components for the iPhone 6L, including its battery size. Assuming the images are real, they reveal the 5.5-inch iPhone 6L model will pack a large 2,915mAh battery that may be required to keep up with the larger display. A previous report claimed the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will have a 2,500mAh battery and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will pack a battery capacity between 1,800mAh and 1,900mAh.

Some images from Apple Daily showing alleged iPhone 6L components follow below, with more available at the link.
