Redesigned iPhone 6 seemingly revealed by third-party case maker

iPhone 6 Design Leak

There has already been enough Apple news this week to last us the month, from reports of an Apple TV with motion controls to an iWatch that could cost thousands of dollars. But one conspicuous image appears to corroborate previous leaks, potentially showcasing the design of the revamped iPhone 6. released a design sketch, which can be seen above, of the next-gen iPhone from third-party smartphone case maker Elam on Thursday, highlighting the ultra-slim body and a single button for volume controls on the side of the phone. The mockup seems to line up fairly closely with the 3D renders from artist Martin Hajek published on last month, lending credence to the leaked blueprints that suggested this new design.

Although the sketch doesn’t indicate the size of the device, a note to investors from industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on Thursday said that the iPhone 6 will indeed feature the rumored 4.7-inch display from previous reports.

As for a release date, don’t expect any concrete information any time soon, but the new models of the iPhone are expected to launch in September. That said, Kuo and other sources believe that the larger 5.5-inch iPhone will see a later release than it’s 4.7-inch counterpart.
