Apple (AAPL) will reportedly update its entire iOS device lineup this fall to support the new dock connector that is rumored to debut on the company’s next-generation iPhone, according to iMore. The website’s sources claim the new dock will be featured on the latest iPhone, iPod nano and iPod touch, along with the rumored iPad mini and an updated 9.7-inch iPad. The Cupertino-based company traditionally kept to a 12-month schedule when updating its devices, however the need to have consistent dock connectors across its entire lineup may be more important than continuing its typical release cycle. Apple is expected to announced these updates at a special event on September 12th.
