For iPad users, the new split-view multitasking feature that will be introduced with the release of iOS 9 is easily the most exciting addition that will hit Apple tablets this year. The new feature allows users to display multiple apps side by side on the same screen, similar to the capabilities we’ve seen on Samsung tablets for the past few years.

Eager iPad owners have a bit longer to wait until iOS 9 is released in September, and installing an iOS 9 beta probably isn’t a good idea unless you’re a developer. There are a few apps that offer similar experiences on the iPad though, and one of them is now on sale for half off.

Appropriately named Multi View, this iPad app by Mobile Simplified is essentially a tweaked web browser that gives the user three different columns in which to load three different web pages. Simple indeed, but that doesn’t make it any less effective — you can use Twitter and Facebook at the same time, all while reading the news on BGR in a third column, for example.

The app doesn’t support multi-view with native iPad apps, of course, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction for iPad users while they wait for iOS 9.

Multi View is normally $1.99 but right now it’s on sale for a limited time for $0.99. The app’s full description follows below.
