Apple hasn’t even gotten the chance to unveil its fifth-generation iPad at next week’s press conference yet and we already have “iPad 6” rumors beginning to trickle out. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who nailed almost every last detail surrounding Apple’s recently released iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c long before they were announced, says that Apple has some interesting new hardware in the works for 2014. First and foremost, the company is supposedly hard at work on its sixth-generation iPad with a brand new upgraded Retina display that packs 30% to 40% more pixels into the same 9.7-inch display size. Kuo adds that Apple may or may not be working on the much rumored 12.9-inch iPad, but it probably won’t launch next year.

Also in Kuo’s latest research note, which was picked up by several sites including 9to5Mac, the analyst says that Apple is working on a new 12-inch MacBook laptop. The notebook computer may fit into Apple’s MacBook Air family, though Kuo says it is thinner and lighter than current Air models. Rumored highlights include a 12-inch Retina display and an unspecified Intel processor. Kuo says the new high-definition MacBook will launch in the second or third quarter next year, possibly priced lower than anything in Apple’s current laptop lineup.

Finally, the analyst says Apple is also developing a new version of its iMac all-in-one desktop computer. Details are scarce, but Kuo says the new iMac will be less expensive than the current models, which apparently haven’t been selling as well as expected. The new iMac will seemingly launch in either the second or the third quarter next year and Kuo thinks it will boost 2014 iMac sales by between 10% and 20%.

Kuo also recently shared supposed details surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6, which he says will feature a new design and a bigger display measuring between 4.5 and 5 inches diagonally.
