One of the main iOS 8 features that Apple introduced at WWDC 2014 is support for third-party keyboards, a type of application many iOS users have been waiting for. While some keyboard app developers including Swype, Fleksy, SwiftKey and Adaptxt have already confirmed plans to launch such apps in the future, TouchPal has gone ahead and released a video of its own keyboard app for iOS 8.

Unfortunately, TouchPal’s keyboard app for iOS 8 will not be available to users until the final iOS 8 build is released at some point this fall. However, keyboard app will be available later this year in beta, although the company is yet to reveal when beta will start.

According to the company, TouchPal Keyboard “is the first third-party keyboard on iOS 8 with sliding input, next word prediction, and many other exciting features.”

“We have successfully run our keyboard on iOS 8, especially with the exciting gesture input,” the company added. “Slide over letters for words, slide up for numbers and slide down for symbols.”

The keyboard app is already available for Android, with over 150 million users worldwide having downloaded it already.

TouchPal’s video showing the iOS 8 app in action follows below.
