Stop whining about iOS 8.2

iOS 8.2 Features

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program to issue a brief plea. Please, for the love of whatever it is you love, stop whining about iOS 8.2 and the new Apple Watch app it added to your home screen. Seriously, we cannot stress enough how absolutely, positively, pathetically ridiculous you sound.

We idly sat by when people complained about things like not being able to delete stock iOS apps and seeing U2’s album automatically appear in the Music app, but come on… enough is enough.

DON’T MISS: 5 key ways the Apple Watch crushes Android rivals

For those unaware that this was even an issue, we apologize for calling it to your attention. To bring you up to speed though, Apple just announced pricing, launch timing and additional details surrounding the new Apple Watch. To add Apple Watch compatibility to iPhones, the company also released iOS 8.2, which includes a new Apple Watch app that will be used to pair and manage Watches.

A bunch of whiny people immediately lost their minds. Tech blogs went to town, and here’s a small sampling of ridiculous reactions from iPhone users on Twitter.

Seriously, guys, give us a break. It’s understandable that bloggers would want to harp on this issue in an effort to stir up commotion and page views, but take a step back for a moment to actually consider what you’re whining about: an app. On your home screen.

There are likely already several stock iOS apps on your iPhone or iPad that you don’t use. If you’re like me, you probably have a folder on the last page of your home screens where they’re all stored. Mine is called “garbage,” and it’s full of apps like Newsstand, Game Center, Tips, iBooks and the stock Mail app. Now, it’s also home to the Apple Watch app.

Get over it.
