HTC just announced their latest handset, the HTC Sensation 4G, and we had a chance to get up close and personal with it a little while ago. While we’re sure this isn’t the last HTC handset of the year, it certainly could be one of the best from our limited time with it. It’s sort of like a sexier Nexus One cross-bred with the Google Nexus S — it has that Nexus feel with a new contour glass display, and man, did we mention it’s sexy? The proportions of the HTC Sensation make the device feel just right when held in your hand even though the display is a solid 4.3-inch super LCD, all due to the fact that it sports a qHD resolution of 540 x 960. The HTC Sensation sports a blazing fast 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8 megapixel camera with mind-blowing 1080p HD video capture, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and it’s all wrapped up in a beautiful unibody aluminum case.

HTC’s new Sense UI for the Sensation rounds out the package with support for user customizable lock screens, 3D effects, redone and refreshed apps like mail, the browser, contacts, weather, and more. All in all, if you’re an HTC Sense fan, this is the handset to beat so far. Look for it on T-Mobile this summer, and make sure to check out all our photos in the gallery!
