One of the most anticipated smartphones of 2015 will without a doubt be HTC’s followup to its highly acclaimed HTC One (M8) and recently leaked specs indicate that it will be an absolute monster of a device. Nowhereelse.fr has spotted a new benchmark over at AnTuTu that seemingly confirms earlier reports about the hardware on HTC’s next flagship phone, including significantly improved front-facing and rear-facing cameras.

According to the AnTuTu benchmark, HTC’s newest phone will feature a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, Qualcomm’s octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. Earlier leaks also suggested that the new device will have a 2,840 mAh battery, although this benchmark does nothing to confirm or deny this rumor.

On paper, it looks like HTC has really worked to correct some of the issues reviewers had with the One (M8), most especially the device’s camera that many found lackluster compared to cameras offered by Apple, Samsung and Nokia. We expect HTC will launch its One (M9) sometime in March, when it will likely be going head to head with Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
