HTC (2498) recently announced the J Butterfly smartphone for Japanese carrier KDDI. The company’s latest flagship device is equipped with a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display with a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 pro processor, and 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, NFC, LTE, a microSD slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. BGR exclusively reported in April that HTC was planning to bring a 1080p smartphone with a 5-inch display to Verizon Wireless (VZ) this fall. According to an alleged internal memo obtained by Android Central, the device will be called the DROID DNA and could launch on November 20th for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement. Interestingly enough, the same document also notes that Verizon will soon offer the Galaxy Note II for $299.99, and the Nokia Lumia 822 for $99.99 and the HTC 8X for $199.99 on November 12th.
