We get hundreds of emails from readers each day who have a wide range of questions spanning numerous topics. If only we had time to answer them all. We often try to address most of the more common questions in our coverage here on the site, assembling how-to guides that walk everyone through processes that seem to stump people.

Now, it looks like Samsung has decided to do some of the heavy lifting for us by creating a simple guide that explains how to move all of your data from an iPhone to a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge.

DON’T MISS: How does Samsung let things like this happen?

Samsung knows all too well that the prospect of switching from one smartphone platform to another is quite daunting for most users. This is especially true for iPhone users considering a switch to Android or any other platform, because Apple’s proprietary software can make the move a bit tricky.

With a new page on its website, however, Samsung wants to show users just how easy it is to ditch that iPhone (or iPad) and switch to the new Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge.

Using the guide on Samsung’s website and its free Smart Switch app, iPhone users can quickly and easily move their call history, text messages, contacts, photos, calendar events, alarms, Wi-Fi settings, browser bookmarks and application list over to a new Galaxy smartphone. The guide also offers two different options for making the switch, using either iCloud or iTunes to back up existing data in preparation for the move.
