Halo fans who have purchased Microsoft’s newest console should be thrilled to hear that a special edition “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” game is coming to the Xbox One this year, according to Engadget, bringing several remastered Halo titles to Microsoft’s new gaming platform.

The publication has learned that Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 are going to be part of the Master Chief collection, while “curiosities” like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach won’t be included in this special package focused on Master Chief.

Saber Interactive is believed to be working on the new remastered Halo project, although nothing is official yet. It’s also unclear when the Halo: The Master Chief Collection game will be available to the masses, and details regarding resolution and frame-rate for the Halo collection aren’t available at this time.

Halo 5: Guardians has been recently confirmed to launch on Xbox One next fall, which gives Microsoft plenty of time to release a special edition Halo pack to keep fans occupied until then. The release might also help convince them to buy the new console, especially now that a cheaper Xbox One model has been confirmed.
