Forgive me if I get emotional. I’m not sure how the season finale of Game of Thrones could have been any more intense than it was. The tension leading into the final episode of season 10 had reached fever pitch, and there wasn’t a moment’s rest in the entire episode. I might have actually been sweating by the time the episode was over. And the death toll, while not unexpected, left viewers reeling.

Now, it’s time to take a closer look at all the main characters who lived and died in season 5 of the hit HBO show. Warning: Spoilers follow below.

Let’s not beat around the bush… Jon Snow is dead. There are plenty of theories that he’s not actually dead, and much of the evidence is actually somewhat compelling. To be honest, though, it would be pretty lame to bring him back at this point, considering how brutal his murder was.

It seemed entirely likely that Ellaria Sand wasn’t going to take Doran Martell’s orders sitting down, and she sure didn’t.

Myrcella Baratheon: Dead

What a roller coaster of a season Stannis had. Just when you finally wanted to start rooting for him at least a little, episode 9 happens. Well, good riddance to bad rubbish — and we couldn’t be happier that Brienne swung the sword that did the deed.
