Samsung really stepped up its game with the Galaxy S6 and Phandroid has posted a great video showing off one of the new device’s coolest tricks: Using its fingerprint scanner to log into your favorite websites without entering a password.

FROM EARLIER: iPhone 6 finally has competition: Galaxy S6 orders are already through the roof

The first time you log into a website on the Galaxy S6, the device will ask you if you want it to link your log-in information to your fingerprints. If you agree then you’ll be able to have the Galaxy S6 scan your fingerprint to log you into websites, which will be much easier and more convenient than having to enter in a password every time you need to access something. You have to log into each website separately at least once so you have total control over which websites can be logged into using the fingerprint scanner.

Phandroid notes that this is a capability that the iPhone’s Touch ID system doesn’t have yet so it’s definitely a credit to Samsung for getting there first. Since we all know how annoying keeping track of passwords can be, this is a capability we definitely want to try ourselves.
