Samsung has release a couple of new short ads that promote the new Galaxy S5 smartphone, with one of them sending a clear message that the Galaxy S5 is supposed to be cool. The phone is already a hot seller, with Samsung expected to move up to 35 million units in the first quarter, but the company’s marketing department is buzzing at full speed, touting the technical advancements in the new smartphone . In an interview and in a recent post on the company’s blog, Samsung has explained why plastic is a better choice for handset back covers, but also why it decided to change the user interface of the smartphone and remove plenty of bloatware.

The Galaxy S5, and the Gear devices, are part of the “cool circuit,” Samsung says in a newly published video. “Making a fashion statement this summer with the Samsung GALAXY S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit is a breeze,” Samsung wrote on YouTube. “Whether it’s the water & dust resistant factor on the GALAXY S5 or the colorful interchangeable bands on the Gear Fit, you don’t have to choose form over function with these fashion-forward devices,” the company added.

In the second ad, titles “Meet The Next Big Thing,” Samsung features various quotes from Galaxy S5 reviews, writing that “the reviews are in. Top to bottom, front to back, inside and out — the Galaxy S 5 is a hit.”

Unsurprisingly, the company takes a direct hit at the iPhone in the ad, featuring an opening quote from Business Insider’s Galaxy S5 review. “The Samsung Galaxy S5 does a lot of things that Apple’s latest iPhone can’t do,” the quote says.

The two new Samsung ads follow below.
