Leak: The Galaxy Note 5 may fix the biggest complaint about the Galaxy S6

Samsung is prepping for its next big thing this year, the joint launch of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge Plus phablets, and a new leak seems to indicate the company may have a pleasant surprise for buyers. According to a leaked document, Samsung may have fixed the worst thing about the Galaxy S6.

DON’T MISS: Huge leak: This is the OnePlus 2

Both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge lack a microSD slot for expandable storage, which was a feature especially missed by hardcore fans who require more local storage.

Samsung tried to mitigate the issue by including faster onboard storage on the two handsets and making 32GB the entry-level memory option. But that might not be good enough for many potential buyers.

Recent reports suggested that since the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge Plus will be bigger versions of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, they’ll have the same overall design. That also means users wouldn’t have access to a microSD slot or replaceable battery.

However, SamMobile points out that a Sprint leaked user agent profile says the Sprint Galaxy Note 5 will have a microSD slot after all. The online document lists specs for the SM-N920P, saying the handset has 32GB of storage and a microSD slot that supports up to 128GB microSD slots.

The code seems to be legitimate, the site says, and it also indicates the handset has a QHD display, 16-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.2 support and 3GB of RAM.

Most details match recent leaks except for RAM — the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to pack 4GB of memory. SamMobile speculates the user agent profile may be a placeholder for the Galaxy Note 5 hitting Sprint later this year, which would explain the RAM discrepancy — see source links below.

A similar document for the Galaxy S6 edge Plus heading to Sprint (model number SM-N928P) also claims the phone will have a microSD slot, Tablety.pl says.
