We were one of the first big tech news brands with an iOS app, but we’ve been one of the last to update it with support for iOS 7. However, thanks to our good friend Sean Kovacs, the new app is available in the App Store right now. It has a redesigned interface, support for gestures, comments are now working again, it uses the dynamic system font sizes, sharing has been updated to take advantage of the iOS 7 share sheet, push notifications work for breaking news, and of course, bugs have been fixed.

Please let us know what you would like to see in an upcoming update because going forward, we are devoting a lot more time and resources to our mobile apps. Stay tuned for an updated Android app as well.

We have no plans to support Windows Phone, and less than zero plans to support BlackBerry smartphones.

You can download BGR for iPhone and iPad here. Also make sure to check out Sean Kovacs at his website.
