Ever since the launch of the iPhone 5, consumers have been waiting patiently for an official dock from Apple. Two and a half years later, we can finally buy one. Apple quietly put the iPhone Lightning Dock up for sale on the Apple Store website on Tuesday morning for $39.00 with an expected shipping time of 1-3 business days.

DON’T MISS: Apple just quietly released a new MacBook Pro and Retina iMac – here are the details

The device is compatible with the iPhone 5/5s/5c/6 and 6 Plus (pictured above). It also features a free-standing Lightning port, which should ensure that future handsets will be able to fit on the dock as well, no matter their size.

There are two ports on the back of the device: a Lightning port for powering the device or connecting it to a computer and a 3.5mm stereo jack to allow users to connect speakers. Apple also notes that you can place speakerphone calls while the iPhone is connected to the dock.

This might not surprise you, but Apple’s official product appears to be the most expensive Lightning Dock currently on the market, save for those equipped with speakers of their own. Still, some consumers prefer name brand to third-party, and now they have an option, but if you’d rather save some money, here are 5 cheaper options from Amazon:

  1. Belkin Charge and Sync Dock – $16.59
  2. JBL OnBeat Micro Speaker Dock – $28.75
  3. Twelve South HiRise – $34.99
  4. igloon Desktop Charging Cradle – $12.99
  5. Sinjimoru Aluminum Sync Stand – $22.99

You can buy an iPhone Lightning Dock at the Apple Store website right now for $39.00.
