After Google announced the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Android 5.0 Lollipop on Wednesday, confirming that many older devices, including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be updated to its latest mobile operating system in coming weeks, Motorola has also revealed that all of its 2013 and 2014 handsets will be updated to Lollipop.

“Now that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be going to the world with Nexus 6—a product of some of our own engineering—we are excited to confirm that this latest and greatest Android release will also come to our other devices as part of our ongoing software strategy to provide fast updates to our pure Android experience,” the company wrote in a quick post on its blog.

The company said that both the first- and second-gen Moto X, and the first- and second-gen Moto G will get Lollipop soon. Furthermore, the Moto G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini will also receive the Android 5.0 upgrade in the future, pointing users to this Motorola software upgrades page for future updates on the matter.

This isn’t a surprising move from Motorola, considering the company has been able to provide swift Android updates to some of its Android devices in the recent past, especially for the Moto X and Moto G handsets.
