A sign of the times: SAT test prep on your iPod

For many of us, it’s been a decade (or two) since the SAT was anything other than “what I did when I got home from work.” The thought of test taking now reminds us why we’re glad we dropped out of school in the first place. For those parents with budding rocket surgeons, though, they can now supplement their test-taking prep with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions…now available for video iPod download. Just pop over to iTunes, and for $4.99, you can pick one of three programs: critical reading, math, and writing. “Learning styles have changed a lot since Stanley Kaplan founded Kaplan in 1938,” said Kristen Campbell, the national director of SAT and ACT programs for Kaplan. “Students take their iPods with them all the time, whether they’re in a car driving to baseball practice, or at home, or sitting at school waiting for their parents to come and pick them up.” Now if they could just figure out a way to eliminate the whole “pencil and paper” thing when taking the test…
