No, this isn’t your uncle’s Ms. Pac-Man game. It’s Microsoft’s new multi-touch table, the Surface. Surface comes in a table top form factor, much like the arcade games of yore, and features a 30″ touch sensitive display and, well, not much else. The PC is completely devoid of any other external controls. Surface features an innovative input method, responding to touch, object recognition, gestures, and more to create an extremely dynamic experience. The unit features multi-touch sensors and supports simultaneous interaction with more than one user. Microsoft envisions this as more of a business class unit than a personal computer, with a limited initial rollout to select Harrah’s Casinos, Starwood Hotel’s and Resorts, and T-Mobile Stores. Here’s the spec sheet rundown: 22 inches high, 21 inches deep and 42 inches wide. Surface runs on Windows Vista and has wired Ethernet 10/100, wireless 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0. Nothing too revolutionary, but come on! This thing crazy enough to make my  mouth water.
