We all know who Batman really is: he’s Bruce Wayne, part of Gotham’s elite and one of the richest people in the city. But most people in Gotham have no idea who he is. And Superman has no idea either.

The two superhero will clash in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and a new teaser for the 2016 movie aired last night during Gotham’s fall finally – what better moment to release a teaser for the new film?

Just 49 seconds long, the trailer shows the Dark Knight being kept prisoner in the desert by Superman’s people. Superman himself makes an appearance, as he’s apparently very curious to learn who the man behind the Batman mask really is. And that’s how Superman finds out that Wayne is the man he has to face. We can’t but wonder whether Batman will also find out who Superman is – after all, Wayne certainly has the necessary means to discover that.

If Superman seems rather upset, that’s probably because he realizes it’s Ben Affleck playing Wayne/Batman, but he’ll soon come to terms with that fact, just as we all did.

We have no idea what happens next, but a full trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on Wednesday during Jimmy Kimmel Live. Meanwhile, check out the short teaser below.
