Amazon’s monster Prime Day event is packed full of bargains on all sorts of different products, but there’s also something else Amazon is offering its customers today: Money. That’s right, free money. Amazon has a special deal going right now for Prime subscribers only, and the gist of it is this: Amazon will give you a $10 Amazon credit for free when you purchase $50 worth of gift cards and use a special promo code at checkout.

That’s right, all you have to buy $50 worth of gift cards and you’ll get $10 for free. You would have to be absolutely crazy to pass this deal up.

How much do you spend each year on purchases from Amazon? If you’re not sure, you can always follow the instructions we gave you in this post to find out. Whatever the answer is, we guarantee that it’s more than $50.

So here’s what you do. Visit this page on Amazon’s website and buy a $50 gift card — not for your friends, not for your family, but for yourself. During the checkout process, enter the promotional code GCPRIME16 and you’ll get an extra $10 on top of that $50. Now, you have a $50 gift card that represents a small fraction of what you’ll spend at Amazon in the next few months anyway, and you also have an extra $10 for free.

Of course, if you’re following our Prime Day deals hub and taking advantage of all these crazy bargains, that free $10 isn’t going to last very long at all.

As the name of this big shopping event might suggest, you’ll need a Prime subscription to enjoy any of these deals. If you don’t already have a Prime subscription, you can sign up for a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial right now and enjoy all the huge Prime Day deals coming today. Make sure you don’t miss anything by following along in our Prime Day 2016 hub.
