The days of compromising your hard drive size in the interest of solid state performance may soon be gone. Samsung announced on Sunday that they will be bringing a 256GB 2.5″ Solid State Drive to market by the September, with scale production ramping up by the end of the year. While it’s certain to be quite costly, the presence of a high end drive like this will hopefully lead to declining costs for lower capacity drives. Oh yeah, they also said a 1.8″ version will be out by the end of Q4. Nice!
