As your child grows, you aren’t going to be able to hold them to feed them. They’re going to get too big and frankly, you need to teach them to eat on their own. That could mean having them join you at the dining table with a high chair. But high chairs aren’t always available, so you can just as easily convert your regular dining chairs into one where they can sit at with a booster seat. A booster seat lifts them up to table height and allows them to see everyone else eating. This could let them mimic the behavior of the adults at the table and learn. Booster seats sometimes will come with trays so that they can eat right in front of them a little easier. We’ve highlighted some of our favorites to help you teach your kids how to eat at the table.

Make the seat comfortable for kids

The Prince Lionheart Squish Booster Seat has a suspended seating area, so it’s super comfortable for your child. This works for kids who are five years or up to 60 pounds. This has a three-point harness and dual-strap system for the chair, so it is extremely safe. You can wipe this down without much hassle, as you can just clean it without a problem. It’s very lightweight, so you can bring it with you wherever you need to. This is slip and scratch-resistant to protect your furniture. The bottom won’t actually scrape your chairs.

Lift up the chair itself

Rather than putting a chair on top of another chair, you can just boost the actual seat with the KABOOST Booster Street for Dining. This goes underneath the chair and will fit four legged chairs, regardless of style. They can fit round, square, or curvy legs because of the adjustable spring system, so you’ll be able to boost the seat. This will snap onto the chair in seconds and stay attached even when the chair is closed. You can choose between natural, charcoal, green, or chocolate. This can hold up to 300 pounds and the rubberized feet is non-slip and won’t scratch the floors. You can boost the chair either 3.75″ or 4.5″, so it can grow with your child.
