Game of Thrones blog Watchers on the Wall reports that two brand new strongholds will appear in season 7, and we’re in for at least one impressive battle.

The Game of Thrones production team is currently making preparations for filming various scenes in Spain, including a major battle scene.

Next season, characters will travel to Highgarden and Casterly Rock. We kept hearing about these strongholds in previous seasons, but we haven’t actually seen them. They are the homes of the Tyrells and Lannisters, respectively, two families that play central roles in the Game of Thrones universe.

The report says that the show will set at least two “eventful scenes” around these locations, but it’s not clear what they are.

One of the upcoming eventful scenes may be “the largest action sequence in season seven,” as it will feature 100 horses and 500 extras who are required to be available for more than am month and will undergo military training. Lord Randyll Tarly might be involved in one of the action.

Preparations are underway, and filming rehearsals began earlier this week, but cameras won’t start shooting for another week. Needless to say, other details aren’t available at this time, and HBO’s production team is trying to keep everything secret. For more details, check out the full Watchers on the Wall report
