The Galaxy Note 7 is the talk of the town right now, which makes sense since it’s the hottest Samsung phone ever made. But no phone is perfect and the Galaxy Note 7 may have one issue you need to be aware of right now. In fact, if you plan to buy the iPhone 7 come September, this is certainly something you’ll need to remember because it might impact Apple’s new phones as well.

The Galaxy Note 7’s Gorilla Glass 5 screen should withstand accidental drops better than its predecessors. It should also prevent bending accidents. But, for some reason, the screen is apparently much more vulnerable to scratches than you’d expect. That means you’ll need to use a screen protector on the Galaxy Note 7 to make sure that you don’t scratch it while it’s in your pocket.

YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, which performs the same stress tests on every newly released smartphone, put the Galaxy Note 7 through its standard durability tests. They found the Galaxy Note 7 to be a lot more susceptible to scratching than the Galaxy S7 models, which is certainly surprising considering that Gorilla Glass 5 is Corning’s latest product.

The iPhone 7 is also expected to feature Gorilla Glass 5, although that’s a feature yet to be confirmed.

Apple last year said the iPhone 6s has the strongest mobile glass available, suggesting that it used Gorilla Glass 4. Now that the next-gen Corning glass is available, many people expect it to be used on the new 2016 iPhones.

The Galaxy Note 7 did remarkably well in the rest of the YouTuber’s durability tests. So, as long as you make sure you’ve got a screen protector on, your new Note should be fine.
