Pokemon Go is a massive mobile success, enjoying impressive popularity among Pokemon fans who can’t get enough of hunting the tiny creatures across town with the help of their mobile devices. However, Nintendo and Niantic’s hit AR game is not available worldwide, at least not officially. Europe is just starting to get a taste of Pokemon Go, with Germany being the first market to receive official support – so here’s what you need to know.

DON’T MISS: How to download Pokémon Go on iOS and Android for free right now

Pokemon Go is a mobile app that needs to be downloaded from the App Store (hit this link) on iOS devices and the Google Play store (at this link) for Android.

All you need to do to play the game is to install the app and sign in. Once that’s done, the hunt starts, so get ready to chase some of your favorite Pokemon characters around town, and be prepared for sore feet and other unexpected Pokemon Go-related consequences.

Even though Germany appears to be the first European market to receive access officially, it’s likely that more European countries will soon get Pokemon Go support. Considering the immense popularity of Pokemon Go, it makes sense to see the game roll out gradually, as Niantic is probably looking to avoid server issues that can compromise the game experience.

If you’re thinking about downloading the Pokemon Go APK from anywhere else but the Play store, we’d advise against it. Some unofficial copies of the app may come with built-in malware that could take over your Android device.
