That didn’t take long! Just a few days after AMC brilliantly trolled The Walking Dead fans with the season 6 finale, the mystery surrounding that terrible cliffhanger may have been solved already thanks to – you’ve probably guessed it – a die-hard fan of the series.

Beware, spoilers follow below, so this is your chance to avoid them. But if you prefer to know who Negan may have killed, according to this forensic inspection of the episode’s last moments, then read on.

Remember earlier this year when AMC trolled the audience for weeks with the fake Glenn death? It’s then that we first told you that in the comics, Glenn dies by the hand of Negan, who uses Lucille on him to set an example.

Season 6 concludes just like in the comics, with Negan picking one of Rick’s gang to set an example. But is it Glenn? If AMC decided to stick to the original story – which at one point it hinted it wouldn’t – then Glenn should be the one to die. We have no idea what happens, as AMC shows us the murder from the eyes of the victim.

The following video features just the enhanced audio of the final moments of episode 16. From the looks of it, it’s Glenn that’s getting the axe – well, the barbwire baseball bat.

Of course, this could be one other way AMC is trolling us. Knowing that hardcore fans would not only thoroughly analyze the video, but also the audio of the final moments of the season finale, AMC may have purposely set up this particular voice acting to make it look like Glenn is the victim.
