The seventh episode in the Star Wars saga is going to dominate the box office this year, and it has already been the talk of the town for more than a month. But next year should bring us plenty more great movies, with Steven Spielberg’s The BFG counted among them.
In case you’re not familiar with it, you should know that Disney’s The BFG is a live-action adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children book with the same title. Steven Spielberg is directing the movie himself, due on July 1st, 2016, and the first teaser trailer for it is already out.
Oh and BFG is short for Big Friendly Giant. So yes, giants are to be expected in this one.

The first trailer is almost two minutes long and it shows us parts of the giant, including his eyes and a huge hand, while focusing mainly on the Sophie, who’s the protagonist of the story played by Ruby Barnhill. You’ll also see Rebecca Hall, Bill Hader, Jermain Clement and Adam Godley star in The BFG.
The giant, voiced by Mark Rylance, is supposed to send good dreams to children, but we can of course expect more adventures from this character in the movie. Interestingly, E.T. writer Melissa Mathison is included in the project, so that’s one more reason to be excited about this new Spielberg movie.
