Prime Day backlash: The Internet rages after Amazon tries to unload a bunch of junk

You can get some very good deals on Amazon today thanks to Prime Day — we’ve highlighted several of them here. That said, many of the deals were basically Amazon’s way of unloading a bunch of useless junk that’s been clogging up its warehouses onto unsuspecting buyers. The Internet, as you might expect, is not amused and many people have been taking out their frustrations with Prime Day on social media. A quick sample follows below.

Let’s start with this amazing deal…

This is actually one of the more positive reactions to Prime Day we’ve seen. And let’s face it: Saving more than $1,300 on a 55-gallon tub of lube is a pretty awesome deal… I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing…

I was going to make a joke about getting some lube to go with the dongle, but decided it would be best to let it go…

This guy, on the other hand, is a definite candidate for the 55 gallon lube tube.

We do live in an age of wonders, my friend. An age of wonders.

And you all thought the iPod was a relic of the past.

Indeed. This is the greatest first-world crisis since Apple gave people that free U2 album.
