The critical response to the Matthew McConaughey vehicle Interstellar was mixed, but everyone agreed that it was quite a sight to behold. Like Gravity before it, Interstellar turned outer space into an incredible spectacle, especially in IMAX theaters.

This was all possible thanks to an enormous budget of $165 million, but one YouTuber took it upon himself to retell the epic story in 3 minutes… with a $20 budget.

MORE HUMOR: The funniest thing you’ll see today: Stuck on a plane with a hilariously annoying Sir Patrick Stewart

It’s about as ridiculous as you might have guessed (maybe even more so), but it’s good for a laugh on a Thursday afternoon. Chandler Perry, the director and editor of the short, listed the full cost of the props in the video description:

Prop List (before tax)
Tin Pans – $2.00
Duct Tape – $3.00
Spray Paints – $3.00
Cardboard Boxes – $1.50
Gloves – $5.00
Keyboard – $1.50
Corn – $1.50
Plastic Bowls – $1.00
Tangerines – $2.75

Everything else was either already in the possession of the crew or was donated to the project.

Before you watch, be warned! There are some spoilers for the film contained within, so if you haven’t seen the real Interstellar yet, you might want to hold off and watch this “faithful” retelling at a later date.

And to think that Interstellar wasn’t nominated for Best Picture! Truly a travesty.
