Samsung is reportedly designing its upcoming flagship Android smartphone from scratch, as it’s not happy with the way other recent Galaxy S models were received by fans. It’s still not clear what that means, with some rumors suggesting the Galaxy S6 might have a special curved display and a metal case. Some of the leaks have also shown alleged metal casings for the handset, with others revealing more details about the phone’s specs.
Adding further fuel to the fire is online publication Toranji.ir, which claims it has obtained pictures showing Galaxy S6 prototypes.
One of the pictures in the gallery below shows three Galaxy S6 versions, at least when it comes to color options, each sporting some familiar Samsung design lines, including home button placement, wallpaper color choices and UI.
Furthermore, the handsets appear to be made out of metal, and they sport Samsung branding both on the front and back. A central rear camera placement and what looks like a heart rate sensors can also be seen, similar to the placement on the back of the Galaxy S5.
A second image has also been published, showing an alleged comparison between the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6.
Obviously, none of these images can be confirmed at this time, and Samsung has yet to announce any plans regarding the Galaxy S6’s launch. Both leaked images follow below.
