The James Franco-Seth Rogen comedy — about two American entertainment reporters’ inept attempts to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un — has had a rocky road to its launch but you can now rent or buy it online.

If you want to see the film for yourself, you have three options: You can rent or buy the movie on the Google Play Store, through YouTube Movies or through Xbox Video via the website http://www.seetheinterview.com. Renting the movie to watch once costs $5.99 while buying it will cost $14.99.
North Korea’s government has condemned the film and is particularly upset about Kim Jong Un’s death scene in which his head explodes. From leaked Sony emails revealed as part of the massive hack on the studio, we know that this scene caused a lot of concern among Sony Pictures executives who feared a backlash from North Korea, which had already declared the film an “act of war.”
In fact, the emails show that film star Seth Rogen thought he could appease the regime by making the depiction of Kim’s death in the film less gory by showing fewer burn marks and flaming hair. However, Rogen said he still wanted to keep a scene in which Kim’s head finally exploded.
