Microsoft is working on various new Office products that should be released in the coming months and in 2015, according to ZDNet’s sources. The publication has learned that Microsoft is not only developing new Office versions for Windows, but also new releases of its popular productivity suite for Mac computers and Android tablets.

FROM EARLIER: Microsoft Office is coming to Android tablets before Windows 8 tablets

Office for Android tablets is supposed to launch as early as November of this year, according to the publication.

Furthermore, Microsoft is supposed to “disclose timing and possibly a public preview of its next Office for Mac release very soon.” Office for Mac is rumored to launch in early 2015 according to the publication. Screenshots allegedly showing Microsoft’s next Office for Mac release have been published online earlier this week.

The company is already testing Office 16 internally and externally with help of some testers, ZDNet has learned. Office 16 client and server applications are supposed to launch in the second half of 2015, as confirmed by Microsoft’s General Manager of Office and Office 365 Marketing Julia White earlier this week during a session at Tech Ed Barcelona.

Microsoft is also working on a touch-first Office for Windows suite of apps, which are apparently developed “specifically to work on Windows 10” and which should be released in spring 2015.

Separately, Chinese-language site cnBeta has posted several screenshots of what it claims to be the upcoming version of Office for Mac. A few follow below and the rest can be found by following the link down in the source section.
