Following its “It doesn’t take a genius” ads – in which the company made fun of Apple’s new announcements by using Apple-like geniuses – Samsung is out with a different TV commercial that’s taking shots at Apple.

FROM EARLIER: I watched Samsung’s horrible new anti-iPhone 6 ads so you don’t have to

In a short one-minute ad that’s now available on Samsung Mobile USA’s YouTube channel and running nationally in the United States, Samsung cites various online publications and Twitter messages to both remind potential buyers about the harsh criticisms the original Galaxy Note got four years ago, and to point out that the iPhone 6 Plus is basically a Galaxy Note rival coming a few years too late to the party.

According to Samsung, Apple is no longer dismissing the Galaxy Note, but instead it’s imitating it.

“Samsung Mobile invented the large display genre, but The Next Big Thing is about more than just size. As the rest of the world catches up to the ‘not everyone wants a tiny screen’ thing, the Galaxy Note 4 is more productive, more innovative and more fun than ever,” the company writes on YouTube slightly bending the truth when it comes to “inventing” the large display genre.

The Galaxy Note was by no means the first handset with a screen bigger than 5 inches – remember that the Dell Streak preceded it by more than a year but utterly failed to deliver the kind of performance users expected – though Samsung was indeed the company that pushed and pushed screen size with its Android offerings, and ended up launching the Galaxy Note that turned out to be the company’s second flagship in addition to the Galaxy S.

The new iPhone 6 Plus-bashing Samsung Galaxy Note 4 TV commercial follows below.
