After various leaks suggested the iPhone 6 phablet – also referred to as the “iPhone Air” – will pack a massive 2,915 mAh battery, French publication Nowhereelse is back with a short video in which a couple of purported iPhone 6 components are shown, including the same battery, suggesting the previous images were not fakes.

FROM EARLIER: New leak may confirm a crucial 5.5-inch iPhone 6 specification

In addition to what looks like a rather slim battery, the video also shows a connector for the battery, which the publication says is marked in a similar fashion to the same component found on older iPhones, further matching previous leaks.

The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model is likely to have the biggest iPhone battery to date, significantly bigger than the 1,560 mAh battery in Apple’s iPhone 5s and the rumored 1,810 mAh battery in the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. However, these iPhone 6 battery capacities are yet to be confirmed.

Considering the increase in size and the expected bigger display with higher resolution than previous iPhone models, the iPhone 6’s battery life is likely to be an important topic of discussion during the iPhone 6’s announcement event.

Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 6 models on Tuesday during a special media event that will be live-streamed over the Internet.

The short video showing the alleged 5.5-inch iPhone 6 battery follows below.
