Have you ever done a search for an artist and just wanted Google to fetch you links that would just let you listen to their top songs? Well, now you can. Google said this week that when you search for an artist, you’ll get links to their songs at several top streaming websites including Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Google Play, YouTube and Rdio. Just clicking on the search result will open the song on your phone depending on the apps you have installed on your device.
This feature is only available in the United States for now but Google says that it’s planning to expand it out internationally and to more music apps such as Deezer. There’s no word yet on whether Google will incorporate Apple’s newly bought Beats Music into its search results yet, although that service right now still has relatively few subscribers and it really isn’t in the same league as Spotify or iHeartRadio just yet.
